To install most of our projects here on Ape Racks you’ll need a way to locate and mark wall studs or ceiling trusses.
We use and recommend the Zircon Studsensor Pro. Any of the Zircon stud finders will work so get the one that you like best. Ours is several years old and found it’s way into our kids’ toy box.
Since they were not able to break it and it still worked for our most recent kitchen pot rack project. I can confirm this is a quality product that will be around for many years worth of projects.
It’s kind of tricky figuring out how to change the battery if you don’t look at the instructions. The clip attached to the back of the handle slides off (perpendicular) to reveal the 9 volt battery which just drops in. The smaller male circle on the battery is the + if your battery is not marked.
